Completed Project
The photo (left) shows Metro
Councilman Phil Claiborne, Gary Grau,
Tim Walker; Director of the Metro
Nashville Historic Commission and
Laura Carrillo of Metro Parks display the
Historic Preservation Award they
received for the restoration of Two
Rivers Mansion. Presenter and
Preservation Award Judge Anne-Leslie
Owens called the Two Rivers
restoration “the crown jewel” of all the
Preservation Awards. The award (right)
was the culmination of 18 months of
hard work and dedication by the team of
Grau General Contracting, Friends of
Two Rivers Mansion and Metro Parks.

The final touch (above) after a year and a half of restoration work was the installation of an exterior
lighting system accenting the mansion’s beautiful front façade. The lighting system was designed by
Belinda Meadows of Malcom Mimms and Associates, and installed by Grau General Contracting and
Dodd Electric in such a way that all the fixtures were hidden from view as to not detract from the
mansions striking architectural features.
